Team Overview
The commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. We aim to bring discovery, inspiration, and joy back to shopping by making TikTok the commerce channel of choice for merchants, creators, and affiliates. We are looking for a retail champion to join our newly formed team and drive growth of our Beauty category. This role sits in our "Beauty" team which includes all Key Account and Midmarket brands.

The Category Manager - Beauty role is responsible for scaling a book of enterprise and midmarket merchant partners, and driving topline revenue growth for TikTok's US eCommerce business. Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prioritize, and acquire a book of beauty merchants to support category growth.
  • Discover innovative collaborative models that fit into merchants' short-term and long-term development plans, and invest platform resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Employ a consultative approach by offering strategic content, creator/affiliate/agency partner, merchandising, and logistical solutions to all clients
  • Create compelling sales propositions utilizing best practices, and case studies.
  • Update active clients on TikTok Shop product developments and new promotional opportunities.
  • Solve key challenges to business growth through strong collaboration with peers and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in eCommerce business; a mixed experience in both platform side and brand/merchant side is highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, strong presentation and sales foundations.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapid, agile, and often ambiguous environment with a growth mindset.
  • Attention to detail, affinity for analytics, logical and strong problem solving skills.
  • Familiar with TikTok and other content platforms; experience in content-based eCommerce (brand and/or platform-side) is highly preferred.
  • Strong network and connections with brands and/or retailers is a plus.
  • Passion for TikTok and eCommerce, eager to exceed challenging goals while building something truly unique to the market.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $73000 - $130000 annually.



Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
